Job DescriptionJob Description The Business Analyst 5 position will work as a contract resource for the State of Michigan - Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) supporting multiple projects for the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The resource will act as a business analyst for various in-flight projects including Software as a Service solutions, vendor supported systems, and custom web applications. This resource will serve as a liaison between DHHS business partners and development teams, gathering requirements from the business users, facilitating meetings, writing user stories, and developing required project documentation deliverables

Requirements5+ years:
  • Experience gathering requirements from users:
    Identifying impacted business processes
    Assessing business needs
    Identifying IT solution integration.
    GAP analysis
    SWOT analysis
  • Experience designing technical and business requirement documentation including:
    Wireframes or screen mockups,
    Context diagrams
    Benefits realization
    Business process models
    Workflow diagrams
    Traceability matrix
  • Experience with Agile methodology / SCRUM processes and ceremonies including:
    Daily Scrum
    Sprint Planning
    Backlog Grooming
    Sprint Reviews
    Sprint Retrospective
  • Experience eliciting and decomposing requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
3 years:
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps backlog management, Kanban board, Sprint board, etc.
Experience writing test plans and use cases.
Working knowledge of Systems Engineering Methodology (SEM) and Project Management Methodology (PMM)
Senior level understanding of the secure application development lifecycle (SADLC)
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's Degree

Location
  • Only currently local candidates (within a commutable distance of 1.5 hours max) will be considered

  • Position is a hybrid schedule with onsite 2 days a week.

  • Working hours Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (flexible scheduling is possible)

Additional Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; We are unable to offer sponsorships at this time

  • Must undergo a background check and drug screening for employment.

Employment Terms
  • This is a W2 position

  • 40 hrs per week

  • HYBRID schedule - you are required to be onsite 2 days per week
