Job DescriptionJob Description

As a Dispatch Specialist you will answer requests (calls and/or emails) for medical equipment and enter them into the systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers, patients, drivers, and operations associates
  • Take orders/requests and dispatch the appropriate resources following policies and procedures
  • Enter patient/customer information into software systems and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure information entered from hospice groups is complete and accurate; obtain any missing data
  • Update operations dispatch board
  • Set up ETA's on deliveries and pickups and ensure scheduled deliveries are handled in a coordinated and timely manner.
  • Upsell extra equipment to create efficiencies
  • Assist with inventory and share knowledge of stock and equipment transfers
  • Recommend changes to improve service, better clarify policies or procedures and any other matters that may occur as appropriate.
  • Miscellaneous office projects and other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills required
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize
