Primary Purpose and Function

The Key Account Representative will be assigned to routes populated with the highest revenue generating off premise accounts. The KAR will be responsible for all facets of account management including but not limited to new distribution, cold box shelf management, quality at retail, display execution, accounts receivable, as well as develop and maintain strong customer relationships.

The KAR will report to either the Key Account Manager or Area Manager depending on assigned territory. KAR will be assigned task and objectives to accomplish in assigned accounts. The KAR will be expected to communicate all opportunities and issues to their manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

Position Objectives

  • To have a direct and positive effect in the top off premise accounts that represent 50% of Kramer Beverage revenue
  • Grow Kramer Beverage’s sales, share and revenue
  • Develop and maintain strong consultative relationships with key decision makers
  • Exceed all retail execution requirements

Position Responsibilities

  • Implement and execute retail marketing and selling programs
  • Ensure assigned accounts meet Kramer Beverage Retail Account Standards
  • Achieve all innovation pack distribution targets
  • Maintain Acceptable levels of quality at retail
  • Gain then maintain key pack distribution standards
  • Identify then execute opportunities at retail
  • Work cross functionally (operations, finance, HR, marketing)

Customer stewardship. Improve KBC’ relationship and alignment with the account(s).

  • Penetrates customer organization to identify decision makers and influencers
  • Builds rapport, trust, and credibility
  • Champions assigned accounts through KBC organization

Category management & performance analysis

  • Builds performance plans for key retailers
  • Understand and apply appropriate services and retail solutions
  • Provides analytics to uncover performance issues and provide solutions

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree with previous work related equivalent required.
  • Excellent communications skills (oral & written)
  • Excellent merchandising management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
  • Utilizes all company selling tools, resources, and best practices to secure and maintain current business
  • Must qualify for NJ State Solicitors Permit
  • Clean driving record

Physical Effort and Dexterity Requirements

  • Mobility Factors:
    • Walking – 40%
    • Sitting – 30%
    • Lifting - 30%
    • Occasional stooping, bending, and reaching
    • Occasional lifting of 165 lbs. or less
  • Visual Acuity, Hearing and Speech:
    • Normal vision, excellent hearing, and very clear speech

Environmental Conditions

  • Heat and Air Conditioning with regular exposure to refrigerated environments
