Summary:
- Create mechanical systems that meet customer needs and project specifications.
- Develop affordable designs based on project goals.
- Maintain project records using SolidWorks PDM and IFS ERP systems.
- Generate bill of materials and drawings for manufacturing.
- Design, test, and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Assist shop floor personnel and customers with technical issues.
- Provide technical support, including communication and occasional site visits.
- Work closely with customers, suppliers, and colleagues throughout a project.
- Investigate and address quality control reports.
- Collaborate with vendors to improve product quality and reduce costs.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2-3 years in structural, mechanical, and hydraulic machine design.
- Lean production concepts, FMEA, Lean practices, Six Sigma, Value Engineering.
- Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, deadline-oriented, teamwork, decision-making, SolidWorks proficiency, FEA (a plus), hydraulic system design/troubleshooting, heavy machinery design.
