POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a Communication Site Installer who would be involved in the set-up, supervision, routing, distributing, and switching for our clients.


As a Communication Site Installer, you will be tasked with helping the business clients install and ensure that they have an effective communication system that works without any interruptions across the whole site. This will be a heavy travel role where you will either be required to be at a designated field venue or the customer’s location.


More specifically we are looking for someone that is R56 certified. This standard requires technicians to consider factors such as communication site-building and installation, both external and internal grounding, the various sources for power, surge protection devices available, the resistance level of the soil, as well as electromagnetic interference.


As a Communications Installer you will be tasked with…
•Repairing, installing, or building of communication devices
•Planning out network installations that would adhere to customer’s orders and technical requirements
•Collecting equipment and supplies for the installation location
•Creating the installation diagram
•Establishing voice and data networks with the use of splicing, to run, to terminate, and pulling cables
•Assembling communication equipment like data and telephone communication lines, switching equipment and wiring
•Analyzing the RF coverage for telecom equipment in the current scenario based on Location and height. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reading and interpreting blueprints or installation diagrams
• Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs as per instructions
• Inspecting installed equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Maintaining and repairing installed equipment when necessary
• Testing and adjusting control systems
• Teaching customers how to use and maintain installed equipment
• Providing timely and detailed service reports
• Ensuring that all safety procedures are followed during work
• Ordering installation supplies and maintaining inventory
• Working closely with the sales team to develop installation plans
• Communicating with clients and resolving any installation-related issues


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Critical Communications
• ETA Mobile Communications and/or Electronics Installers Certification
• Willingness to travel (up to 85%) as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
