Founded in 1976, headquartered in Taneytown, Maryland, EVAPCO products are engineered and manufactured in 23 locations in 10 countries and supplied through a sales network of more than 170 offices.

Responsibilities:

1.Compile and analyze financial information to prepare monthly financial statements.

2.Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.

3.Analyze, reconcile, research, and pay commissions monthly to sales representatives.

4.Ensure an accurate and timely month end and year end close processes.

5.Manage intercompany accounts, invoicing and reporting.

6.Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.

7.Assist with compiling annual US audit information.

8.Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

9.Prepare and file sales and use tax returns.

10.Review tax exemption certificates.

11.Assist with sales and use tax audits.

12.Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.

13.Manage personnel as part of their duties.

14.Assist in the development of policies and procedures.

15.Willingness to travel to various US locations.

16.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications:

1.Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

2.Master’s or CPA preferred, not required.

3.Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting.

4.Strong verbal and written communication skills.

5.Knowledge of applicable sales and use tax laws, codes and regulations, preferred.

6.Must be highly skilled in use of MS Office, especially Excel Spreadsheets.

7.Experience with tax software, preferred.

8.Must have an excellent work ethic, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to meet deadlines.

9.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

10.Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.

11.Strong organizational and analytical skills.
