TAM International US Inc is in search of a dynamic individual, with amazing attention to detail, to join their team as a Logistics Specialist. 

 

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating international and domestic shipments in a fast-paced work environment and ensuring that goods move from point of origin to point of destination; to arrive at the right place, at the right time, in good order and condition, and at the most economical cost.

The Logistics Specialist will utilize their business and logistics skills in a high-growth manufacturing environment. They will leverage their technical knowledge and supply chain experience to optimize inventory control and the efficient inbound and outbound shipments of critical products.  They will use their leadership abilities to help drive optimal solutions, capacity management, and process improvement.  By collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, they will balance critical transport flows and drive exceptional operational performance with a high impact on the customer.


Essential Job Functions:

  • As an important member of the TAM team, the Logistics Specialist will provide support and guidance as needed in the organization
  • The primary function of this full-time position, as outlined in Responsibilities, is to provide essential logistics-driven services to a key TAM client. This will involve assisting the client in resolving issues with finished product packaging, packaging-related components, and inventory control accuracy.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliant and efficient planning, scheduling, and execution of domestic and international shipments of natural uranium hexafluoride from a U.S. conversion facility
  • Generate all required paperwork to execute the aforementioned shipments
  • Create and maintain transportation schedules
  • Organize the efficient planning and scheduling of inbound shipments into the conversion facility
  • Manage the receipt of new equipment and associated receipt inspections
  • Maintain accurate inventory of finished products and logistics-related equipment
  • Actively participate in cross-functional meetings with key stakeholders
  • Ensure the compliant and timely submission of transactional data to governmental agencies
  • Conduct daily reviews of production records; validate and correct data entry as needed
  • Engage in maintenance and testing of the database (SAP) used for inventory and shipping
  • Affirm that all operational functions are performed in accordance with processes and procedures outlined in the Quality Management System


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or logistics-related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in Logistics/Supply Chain, Planning, or a related business field
  • Training in SAP, CargoWise, 49CFR Gen Awareness, IMDG, Basic IATA, and Transportation of Dangerous Goods would be an asset
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Customer-focused, collaborative approach
  • Experience in inventory control and planning
  • Experience with regulatory requirements associated with the transportation of hazardous materials.
  • Knowledge of the transportation and handling of radioactive materials. This may be acquired through on-the-job training.
  • Experience in the operational aspects of the safe, efficient, and effective transport of radioactive materials and their related commodities.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
  • Able to pass a criminal record check for site access
