Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Goddard School located in Independence, OH, an early childhood education center, is currently seeking an experienced, qualified, caring, and energetic Afternoon Teacher. The Goddard School is much more than a day care. We provide care and education for infants, toddlers, preschool, pre-kindergarten, and school age children.

Our Afternoon Teachers are sometimes called floaters because thats what they do they regularly float between classrooms. Afternoon Teachers are very important to our school and support all the various ages and classrooms. ALL Afternoon Teachers need to be able to work until 6pm, Monday through Friday. No Nights No Weekends Starting time can vary based on YOUR needs

As an Afternoon Teacher, you will:

  • Lead hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
  • Communicate daily with parents. Document and share the important milestones in their childs day.
  • Keep the classroom safe and clean by following important procedures and guidelines.
Requirements:

Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required
  • Early childhood coursework, CDA, or degree (or working towards) preferred
