At Assisting Hands Home Care, our mission is to offer elderly clients the very finest personalized non-medical home care services in their own homes

Requirements to join our team of Caregivers:
  • Have 1+ year of caregiving experience
  • Have a valid SSN
  • Have a valid DL or ID
  • Have reliable transportation/ vehicle with auto insurance
  • Able to commute to Schaumburg/Park Ridge, IL and surrounding areas
Skills:
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to have empathy and compassion for individuals in need of care
  • Ability to provide physical assistance, including lifting and transferring clients
  • Patience and understanding when working with clients who may have cognitive or behavioral challenges
Caregiver Responsibilities:
  • Bringing positive energy into each home you serve.
  • Engagement in meaningful activities of mind and body.
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living ADLS (Personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, toileting, etc.).
  • Light housekeeping, such as laundry, dusting, sweeping
  • Meals: Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding (If needed)
  • medication reminders.
  • Transport/Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings
  • Provide companionship
  • (If needed) Lift and transfer clients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
