The Yardi Trainer will primarily provide Yardi training, and occasionally first-level software support, to Property Management. This role will provide training support to software users. This role will report to the Learning and Development Lead and collaborate with Property Management, Information Technology (IT), and Yardi Support to ensure the software platform is being utilized efficiently to support business goals and objectives. Ensure all new and existing users receive proper software training support.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide best-in-class Yardi training to new and existing employees through instructor-led training, online webinars, and individual coaching sessions.
  • Provide Yardi onboarding training to newly hired and acquired on-site employees and support new employees with all PM software training.
  • Conduct in-person Yardi group training sessions as needed. Lead weekly live training and troubleshooting sessions for on-site users (Yardi Power Hour). Provide day-to-day Yardi user training support for Property Management.
  • Consult with internal business to identify learning and employee development opportunities and make solution recommendations. Assist IT and Yardi Support with training needs related to software upgrades/conversions.
  • Create online simulated training modules and manuals. Revise training material (user manuals, learning journals, etc.) to reflect current changes in integration, policies, and procedures.
  • Create and establish training agendas, pre-training surveys, post-training surveys, and achievement certificates. Publish ongoing training calendar for new hires and existing users and offer refresher classes on problem area topics identified by the Yardi support team. Review Yardi reporting and analyze data for user input errors to create ongoing training modules. Develop documentation and training of new Yardi modules and Yardi integrations. Maintain training database and Yardi Aspire
  • Assist and provide training support with roll out of all new software program interfaces.
  • Stay abreast of updates and changes in affordable housing programs and requirements.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • This is a hybrid role. The candidate must be commutable to one of the following: NYC, Bethesda, MD, Charlotte, NC, Ft Lauderdale, FL, or Denver, CO. The candidate must also be able to travel up to 25%.
  • Bachelor’s degree. (Preferred)
  • At least five years’ experience in affordable housing, preferably focused on both HUD and LIHTC programs. At least three years’ experience as a manager/leader/trainer in the real estate industry.
  • Functional background in Accounting, Real Estate, Information Technology (IT), & Property Management preferred.
  • Formal training experience or training expertise in property management/property management technology. Demonstrated classroom presentation skills.
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager 7S and various Yardi modules
  • Proven, results-oriented person with a focus on quality and delivery.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop consensus among users. Exhibits judgment and decision-making ability.
  • Detail-oriented with high standards, but able to distill what truly matters. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrates effective time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Highly organized.
  • Effectively communicates in both written and verbal communication. Understand and practice the need for confidentiality.
