Job Title: Fuel Cell System Field Service Technician

Location: Bolingbrook, Illinois (onsite only)

Job Description:

  • 5 years experience in maintenance and repair of light duty or commercial vehicles.
  • Working knowledge of software tools used to diagnose vehicle faults.
  • Experience with hybrid and electric powertrain fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with fuel cell, electric powertrain, or internal combustion engine testing and diagnostics
  • Class A CDL to facilitate FCS on road evaluation preferred.
  • Primary interface between Fuel Cell System Field Service Engineer and matters related to the deployed Fuel Cell Systems (FCS) and the Hydrogen Storage Systems (HSS)
  • Conduct FCS and HSS testing in vehicles, document findings, and communicate results and observations to the fuel cell system development team.
  • Work collaboratively with the Fuel Cell System Field Service Engineer and the Vehicle Aftersales and Service Team to maximize uptime of customer and trial vehicles.
  • Support development of FCS and HSS service processes and test procedures
  • Communicate FCS and HSS status to Vehicle Aftersales and Service Team
  • Conduct FCS service and maintenance procedures on customer vehicles as available, potentially after-hours
  • Guide contract service technicians conducting FCS and vehicle service.
  • Work with Fuel Cell System Field Service Engineer to build and maintain a standard FCS service toolkit.
  • Support to development vehicles in Bolingbrook, and the test track, and in field trials.
Travel up to 75% may be required.
