Tazewell County is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant II/Permit Technician for the Building Permit Office. This position requires

  • Working knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and secretarial techniques
  • Basic computer skills
  • Microsoft Office programs experience
  • Communication and customer service skills
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • General knowledge of building construction

Candidate hired will be required to pass Core and Permit Tech Training within 18 months of hire date. A High school diploma with two years experience or advanced training is preferred. Starting salary is $38,882 with a competitive retirement/health insurance benefit package. Applications will be accepted through April 30, 2024 or until position is filled.
