Behavioral Therapist PRN (Weekends)
PAM Voyages Behavioral Health of Sugar Land
The responsibilities of the Therapist are to provide diagnostic assessments, therapy, and counseling and support services for a mixed caseload. This position will assist with the development of treatment plans, conducts individual family assessments and consults with attending psychiatrist or medical director concerning treatment plan and plan of care. The therapist will document interventions, provide referrals to outside resources and collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team. The essential functions of this position are those tasks, duties, and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job’s purpose and objectives. Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. They are the major functions for which the person in the job is held accountable. The Therapist reports and is accountable to the Director of Social Services.
Primary Responsibilities (not all inclusive)
- Conduct Therapeutic Assessment/Counseling/Education Services
- Provide Discharge Planning Services
- Collaborate with Inter-Disciplinary Team
- Professional Behavior and Development
- Document Professional Activity
- Provide Information/Referral Services for Community Resources
- Participate in Required Departmental Activities
Minimum Education:
Master’s in Social Work with independent licensure in LCSW, LMSW, LMFT.
LPC and will also be considered.
Current BLS certification required.
Crisis management certification per hospital policy and standards required.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Minimum Work Experience: Candidates with 2-3 years of experience in diagnostic assessment and therapy services
Required Licenses/Certifications: State-licensed required in the state of Texas.
