Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Duties: Perform a range of tasks including administering medications, assisting in surgeries, and conducting diagnostic tests. 
  • Patient Care: Provide compassionate care to pets, including monitoring their condition and offering post-operative support. 
  • Client Communication: Educate pet owners on treatments, preventive care, and best practices for maintaining their pet’s health. 
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with veterinarians and other staff to ensure high-quality care and a smooth workflow. 
  • Administrative Tasks: Manage patient records, handle inventory, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Required to Fill Position
  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician preferred, strongly preferred. 
  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent certification preferred;  or be an active Vet Tech student currently enrolled in an accredited AVMA program
  • Strong technical and clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work well under pressure. 
  • A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to providing outstanding service to pets and their owners.
  • Safe and effective restraint of animals for examination and treatment.
  • Ability to draw blood, obtain urine samples, and collect other diagnostic samples.
  • Proficiency in performing and interpreting basic lab tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams.
  •  Skills in monitoring patients under anesthesia, including adjusting anesthetic levels and recognizing signs of complications.
  •  Ability to assist veterinarians during surgeries, including sterilizing instruments, preparing patients, and providing post-operative care.
