D&G Transportation is a refrigerated and frozen LTL carrier, supplying the US with goods. We are currently in need of highly motivated forklift operators who are interested in an exciting opportunity to work with our warehouse team in cross-dock operations. This is a rotation shift,  working days mid-week, and evenings at end of the week as we require the trailers to be loaded. The hours are alternate weeks from Tue - Fri to Wed - Sat.  Hours will be discussed at interview, but this is a full time position.

This position involves working in a temperature controlled warehouse environment. Refrigerated trailers are loaded and unloaded in accordance with product temp and scheduled appointments.  Our team members enjoy problem solving and utilize resources to meet the demands that support being a leader in customer service.  Team members enjoy working with others by being supportive and flexible.  Employees that excel have potential to progress to a team leader position.  We value integrity and safety conscious individuals with an exemplary work ethic.  If you are comfortable with working in a temperature controlled warehouse, and have a high regard for food safety as well as established policies and procedures, we encourage you to apply.

Primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Forklift operation 
  • Be able to move, locate, relocate, stack and count product accurately
  • Interpret bills of lading and be detail oriented. 
  • Material Handling - Lifting and sorting packages up to 50 lbs.

Candidates must be able to pass a pre-hire drug test and physical which requires an ability to lift packages weighing 50 pounds.
