Purpose
The Survey Tech provides services which include Highway Construction survey and layout on all construction projects. Responsible for staking tree protection areas, storm sewers, sanitary, curbs, utilities, etc.
Job Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of survey control including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
- Project site setup including base station setup and localization of the area for use with GPS enabled heavy equipment.
- Conduct initial site topographic surveys.
- Provide all necessary job site staking.
- Conduct as-built surveys of site utilities.
- Conducts drone surveys.
Education and Experience
- 1 year experience preferred but willing to train highly motivated individual with some experience in construction layout.
- Experience with Trimble GPS and Robotic Total Stations.
- Knowledge of Trimble SCS 900 and Siteworks field software.
- Experience in all aspects of site layout.
- Site calibration, curb staking, utility layout, as-builts, and topographic surveys.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Remote drone pilot license or ability to obtain.
