Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting and supporting the Spa Director with overseeing spa operations, including staffing, programming, guest relations, budget and facilities, with direct oversight of Spa (Beauty, Canyon Ranch Aesthetics, Skincare and Beauty Salon). Assist and support the Spa Director with overseeing operations of Massage, Spa Services and Metaphysical.

Essential Functions and Duties:

- Staff Supervision: Monitors staff performance to assure quality standards and ensure excellent customer service in all areas for both external and internal guests, including the 5-star standards. Direct responsibility for making hiring and termination decisions as well as training and developing colleagues that report to the Spa Assistant Dir.

- Budget and Financial Management:Manages payroll and operating expense budget controls for the Skincare, Canyon Ranch Aesthetics and Salon Departments. Maintains daily awareness of spa revenue and uses this information to make expense decisions/recommendations. Ensures that payroll, time sheets and UKG corrections, staff scheduling, and staff member payroll issues are resolved/completed properly and in a timely manner.

- Communication:Oversee spa facilities ensuring all areas are well maintained and standards are met. Ensure that all staff maintains a “critical eye” perspective to spa facilities (i.e. Cleanliness, repairs, supplies etc.). Maintain a strong partnership with the Facilities and Housekeeping Departments to ensure effective communication of concerns and timely repairs.

- Program Development: Creates monthly incentive programs with vendors to increase retail sales. Creates and facilitates monthly beauty events with vendors and staff.

- Customer Service: Direct all efforts toward guest satisfaction, the achievement and maintenance of Canyon Ranch standards and profit maximization.


Qualifications

Must have prior knowledge of position/industry (3-5 years previous experience in same or related field).

Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record to meet Group B Driving Requirements.

Cosmetology license or similar beauty license in state providing services

First Aid Certified

CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of employment

Knowledgeable about spa operations, services and activities.

Knowledgeable in spa operations & treatments in massage modalities, skin care services or salon.

Proven Leadership and time management. Must be able to multi task a variety of projects or tasks at the same time by prioritizing as needed to ensure that deadlines are met.
