POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician Level 4 is responsible for the daily maintenance and general repairs of various CNC Machines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Maintenance Technician Level 4 is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:

  • Custodian duties
  • Basic building maintenance - AC filters, light bulbs etc.
  • CNC waste disposal.
  • Qualified to operate a WellBoss forklift (certified).
  • Basic troubleshooting of non-CNC mechanical equipment.
  • Perform and log mixer ratio checks.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge including hand and power tools.
  • Cleaning of sensitive equipment.
  • Assist with larger repairs i.e., remove machine guarding and covers.
  • Basic pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge.
  • PMs on industrial equipment.
  • Repairs on industrial equipment.
  • Use appropriate strategies and solutions for dealing with conflicts and differences to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Use equipment and tools safely as designed/documented.
  • Advanced troubleshooting of CNC and industrial equipment.
  • Read electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.
  • PMs on CNC and industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge on CNC controls. i.e., manually jogging machine.
  • Machine adjustments. i.e., gibb and backlash adjustment.
  • Use measuring devices. i.e., calipers and indicators, sensor testing and tension measuring devices.
  • Use multimeter.
  • Lead PM on all machinery.
  • Major repairs. i.e., ball screw, linear tracks, and drives.
  • Knowledge on CNC controls, programing, and operation.
  • Perform other functions and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The Maintenance Technician Level 4 must at a minimum possess the following:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Two plus years of experience in mechanical or electrical repair work.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
  • Basic computer literacy skills.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to liaise professionally with team members and system users.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks with moderate supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The Maintenance Technician Level 4 must be able to:

  • Lift a minimum of 50lbs., repeatedly, without assistance and up to 100lbs with assistance.
  • Push/pull heavy objects with the proper equipment.
  • Wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment when required (i.e., safety glasses or side shields, steel-toe footwear, etc).
  • Stand for long periods of time; up to 8-12 hours a day
