Job DescriptionJob Description

The LatinxCEO Program Assistant will play a critical role in the execution and expansion of the program, reaching out to potential employer partners, scheduling guest speakers, arranging workshops for students, coordinating job shadowing, and arranging corporate visits. This individual will also be responsible for recruiting students to participate in the program and acting as a general champion for the program both on and off campus.

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Outreach and Partnership Development: Identify and reach out to potential employer partners and guest speakers who can contribute to the program's goals.
  • Event Coordination: Schedule and organize workshops, guest speaker sessions, job shadowing opportunities, and corporate visits for students. Ensure these activities are aligned with the program's objectives to provide valuable learning experiences.
  • Student Recruitment and Engagement: Actively recruit students to participate in the program. Promote the benefits of the program through presentations, campus events, and social media outreach.
  • Program Advocacy: Serve as a champion for the LatinxCEO program both on and off campus, highlighting its impact and seeking opportunities for expansion and collaboration.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with the preparation of program materials, manage schedules and communications, and perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the program.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in program coordination, outreach, or a related field is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be comfortable reaching out to companies and individuals both internally and externally.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficient in utilizing various computer applications and software, including Google Workspace (Google Doc, Sheets), Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Constant Contact is a plus.
  • Adept at quickly learning and adapting to new technologies and software.
  • Experience working with Latino communities and understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Latino students in higher education and the workforce.

Language: Proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.

Hourly Rate: $30 per hour
