Job Title: School Age Coordinator-North Adams Locations

Location: Various School Locations

Hours: Three Quarter Time M-F 30-36 hours per week

Salary: $21.60 per hour, based on experience

Essential Functions

  • Support facilitation of a safe and healthy environment social-emotionally, physically, and mentally for effective youth development in a School Aged Childcare and seasonal Camp setting.

  • Support administrative needs of School Aged Childcare and Camp with tasks Including, organizing, and managing children’s and staff’s checklists.

  • Create and distribute the School Age Childcare and Camp Schedules

  • Communicate schedule changes and request to Management when needed.

Support and be present in ratio during staffing issues.

  • Foster healthy relationships between children and staff appropriate to child’s development and level of understanding.

  • Provide resources to help staff plan developmentally appropriate activities based on the creative curriculum using positive guidance techniques.

  • Assist Site Coordinators and Camp Counselors in providing daily and weekly lessons and programs for supporting staff to follow and facilitate.

  • Know and enforce all rules and safety guidelines associated with Childcare programs.

  • Report all incidents and accidents and fill out applicable forms and paperwork

  • Help maintain a clean and productive camp environment; setting-up, breaking-down, and cleaning up projects and equipment as needed.

  • Attend all staff meetings and in-service training

  • All other duties assigned by management

Equipment and Software

  • CheckWriters for personal and operational timecard management

  • Microsoft Office 365 – Outlook, OneDrive, Excel Teams etc.

Qualifications - Must have 1-year childcare experience and 1-year administrative experience

  • Must be at least 20 years old

  • Associate degree in child development or equivalent is preferred.

  • CPR/AED & First-Aid Certifications Required.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite

  • Must be able to manage a group of children and appropriately deal with disruptions and behaviors of children from different backgrounds.
