Are you a highly skilled Machine Saw Operator ready to join our team of fine woodworking specialists in Markle, IN, US? In this role, you will be instrumental in crafting wood wall structures, floor joists, and roof joists. If you have the qualifications we are looking for, we invite you to apply for this exceptional opportunity

Compensation:

$17 - $18 hourly

Responsibilities:

  • Operate sawing equipment and machinery to cut wood according to specific measurements and requirements
  • Review work orders and blueprints to determine cutting specifications and dimensions
  • Set up and calibrate saws for accurate and efficient operation
  • Maintain and monitor the quality of cut pieces to ensure they meet the required standards
  • Inspect stock for defects and ensure proper alignment before cutting
  • Safely handle and transport raw materials and finished pieces
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operation and productivity
  • Perform routine maintenance on sawing equipment to ensure proper functionality
Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders
  • Familiarity with various sawing equipment and machinery
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Physical stamina to stand, lift, and handle heavy materials
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines for operating saws and handling wood materials
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
