Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHexco Motorsports is looking for a skilled service writer for our service department. The Service Writer is a connection between a customer and the service department. This position requires you to put yourself in the customer's situation and understand their needs to provide the best customer experience as it pertains to parts, knowledge, and accuracy of their request. This position requires customer assistance with technical and quality questions and creating relationships with customers. Customer data entry includes the use of Lightspeed to provide customer support and transactional sales.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

  • Providing customer service to all customers, and vendors via face-to-face, phone call, or email
  • Writing up service work orders providing full details to technicians - Be the voice of the customer
  • Assisting internal and external customers with service questions
  • Effectively work with cross-functional teams including sales, parts, and shipping
  • Answering phones
  • Providing quotes to customers on service repair work and obtaining authorization for any work outside of the original quote scope and cost
  • Scheduling service jobs for all technicians
  • Keeping customers informed of progress on their unit service, any back-ordered parts
  • Assisting in handling customer complaints and concerns to make sure the issue is corrected
  • Assisting in tagging units to ensure proper identification
  • Consulting with technicians on necessary repairs and possible alternatives
  • Building and maintaining customer and vendor relationships

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • General understanding of small engines
  • General understanding of powersports (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience with customer service
  • Hold a valid driver's license
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service
  • May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
  • Strong computer skills
