SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK

Summary Objective

This position is responsible for properly receiving incoming freight and shipping outgoing items.

Essential Functions

  1. Ensure that all incoming products are inspected for accuracy and damage

  1. All incoming products are received into the system within 48 hours of delivery

  1. Determine best method of outgoing shipment (cost, risk of damage, need-by-date) and prepare all necessary documentation for the shipment

  1. Follow all receiving procedures, ensuring that parts are correctly labeled and taken to the proper stock location, or appropriate job location

Work Environment

This position works in a warehouse and shop setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand truck, box cutters, and tape dispensers.
