POSITION SUMMARY
The 2nd shift Maintenance Mechanic position conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance service.  Perform computer-generated maintenance work requiring maintenance skills to keep machines, mechanical equipment, and the structure of the establishment in repair.  Ensure that food safety, legality, and quality standards are always maintained.  The regular schedule for this role is from 3 p.m. to midnight.   Candidates must have flexibility to work later when needed to accommodate production and there may be occasional Saturdays.  Partner conducts themselves in a manner aligned with Illes Foods Core Values: Operate with Integrity, Stay Intentionally Curious, and Believe in the Power of the Partnership.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  
  • Complete computer-generated maintenance work order requests requiring maintenance skills to keep machines, mechanical equipment, and the structure of the establishment in repair.  
  • Work from drawings and computer-generated work assignments.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all production equipment and plant physical equipment.
  • Work with other maintenance personnel to complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Access and interpret maintenance computer information.
  • Know vendor locations and purchasing procedures.
  • Maintain a clean work area while working.
  • Actively offer methods of improvement.
  • Generate, maintain, and close work requests by way of computer maintenance software.
  • Processing equipment ready for on time production start-ups. 
  • Maintain the facility at inspection ready status per MSS, AIB and FDA. 
  • Adhere to Safety policies, procedures, and regulations; Safety record meets safety goal.
  • Actively participate in team and business improvement activities.  
  • Maintain and keep records.
  • Always maintain the department in inspection-ready status.
  • Adhere to all GMP, safety, and Illes policies and procedures; verify that they are followed.
  • Maintain appropriate and professional written and verbal communication.
  • Ensure that food safety, legality, integrity, and quality standards are always maintained.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.
  • Regular attendance for scheduled shifts is a requirement of this position.
 Minimum Job Requirements:

 EDUCATIONHigh school diploma or equivalent required.  Associate/bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical field or related area from an appropriately accredited University a plus.EXPERIENCEMinimum 5 years experience in the field or a related area.  Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.                                                                                               REQUIRED

REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift 50 pounds continuously.
