Description

This role has the primary responsibility to execute millwright tasks in a safe, efficient, and effective way according to the job package or other appropriate information.

Essential Functions / Key Accountabilities

    • Performs general maintenance per daily work orders.
    • Assist (only) with above task.
    • Understanding of mechanical seals, seal types, seal use, proper installation.
    • Identification of different bearing types, bearing use, proper installation of bearings, and bearing application.
    • Troubleshoot and repair pump and equipment failures.
    • Disassemble and reassemble pumps and equipment.
    • Work to improve reliability of pumps and equipment.
    • Perform preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues.
    • Ensure parts are available for jobs to keep the team and plant operating.
    • Using equipment, such as forklift, to move pumps and mechanical equipment.
    • Assist in rigging activity.
    • Knowledge of "hand signals".
    • Oriented with Safety Procedures, Maintenance SOPs, PPE.
    • Maintenance shop and work area clean-up.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience / Required Skills

Physical Demands

  • Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long periods of time, up to 12 hours per day.
  • Working from a seated position for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms multiple times per day.
  • Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing or crouching on narrow or slippery surfaces.
  • Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
  • Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
  • Bending the body downward and forward by bending legs and spine.
  • Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force consistently to move objects in order to thrust forward, downward or outward.
  • Using upper extremities to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force consistently in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
  • Raising objects up to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds consistently from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.
  • Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
  • Subject to environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
  • Subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 for periods of more than one hour.
  • Subject to vibration. Exposure to movements of the extremities or whole body. Operate/drive utility vehicle
  • Subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE for tasks as required. FRC uniform, hard hat, safety toe work boots, respiratory protection, safety glasses, chemical googles, face shield, gloves etc.
