Job DescriptionJob DescriptionStiffener Welder: Freeport, ILOur customer in Sterling, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their growing team as a Stiffener Welder. The Stiffener Welder is responsible for welding stiffeners to metal structures, ensuring the structural integrity and durability of the final product. This role involves interpreting blueprints, setting up welding equipment, and executing precise welds according to engineering specifications and safety standards.Responsibilities of the Stiffener Welder:

• Weld stiffeners onto metal structures using various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, arc welding).
• Fabricate and assemble metal components as per engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ensure all welds are made to required standards and specifications for strength and durability.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine welding requirements and techniques.
• Plan and sequence welding operations based on project needs.
• Set up welding machines and equipment for various types of welding operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspect welds and fabricated components for defects and ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow industry standards and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Stiffener Welder Requirements and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent vocational school
• Proven experience as a welder, with specific experience in welding stiffeners or similar structural components.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques and tools.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Good mechanical skills and attention to detail.
• Welding certification (e.g., AWS or equivalent) is preferred.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials and equipment.
• Capable of working in various positions (standing, crouching, etc.) and in potentially hazardous environments.

Pay for Stiffener Welder: Starting at $21/hour based on experience. Stiffener Welder Benefits:
