  • Expertise in MongoDB architecture, including replica sets, sharding, and indexing.

  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.

  • Strong knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization.

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or JavaScript.

  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines.

  • 10+ years of experience in database architecture and administration.

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with MongoDB.

  • Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable database solutions.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with hands-on expertise in MongoDB to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, high-performance database solutions using MongoDB. This role requires a deep understanding of MongoDB architecture, data modeling, and best practices for deployment and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, high-performance database solutions using MongoDB.

  • Develop and maintain data models that support business requirements while ensuring data integrity and performance.

  • Design and implement database schemas, indexes, and complex queries to meet application performance requirements.

  • Analyze and optimize MongoDB performance, including indexing strategies and query optimization.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues, implementing solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.

  • Design and implement sharding strategies to ensure database scalability.

  • Configure and manage MongoDB replica sets for high availability and disaster recovery.

  • Develop backup and recovery plans to protect data integrity.

  • Implement security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for data security and privacy.

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of MongoDB environments.

  • Develop automation scripts for routine database maintenance tasks.

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of MongoDB with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Work closely with development teams to integrate MongoDB with applications.

  • Provide guidance on using MongoDB drivers and ODMs (Object-Document Mappers) with various programming languages.

  • Assist in the development of applications and services that utilize MongoDB as a backend.

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of database architectures, configurations, and processes.

  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate development teams on MongoDB best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based MongoDB solutions (e.g., MongoDB Atlas).

  • Certification in MongoDB or related technologies.

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with additional NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, Redis).
