Full-time, 2nd shift- 2pm to 10pm AND Part-time, 3rd shift- 10pm to 8am
WEEKENDS REQUIRED
Do you want an opportunity to serve with compassion and help others? We seek patient and dedicated caregivers to assist adults with disabilities in their neighborhood home. Our Caregivers / DSPs provide support to adults living in CILA homes (Community Integrated Living Arrangements) with around-the-clock care. Developmental Foundations, a family owned company providing quality residential services since 1986, is hiring Caregivers / DSPs at our homes in Danville, IL.
What you can expect:
- Network of support - trainers, nurses, supervisors and co-workers
- A sense of belonging, connection and caring, in a home-like setting
- Work schedules include a combination of weekdays, weekends, and some holidays
Pay:
- $17.00/Hour
Benefits for eligible employees may include:
- DSP training is provided and paid. Once trained, you will become a certified DD Aide and will be added to the Health Care Worker Registry (HCWR)
- Paid time off and paid vacation
- BCBSIL Health and Dental benefits, including free Vision insurance
- 401k with employer match
- DSP work qualifies for CNA license renewal
Qualifications:
- DSP or CNA experience beneficial, but not required
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required
- Entry level position. DSP training is provided and paid
Requirements:
- High school diploma/signed high school transcript/G.E.D. - high school or equivalency
- Successfully complete and pass background check
- Weekend availability is required
Responsibilities:
- Companionship
- Housekeeping and meal preparation
- Assistance with medication
- Assistance with personal care, including bathing and toileting
- Ability to stay alert and responsive
