Floor Technician

Schedule: Open Availability 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to strip, wax, burnishing, clean, shower scrub and recoat, base board stripping, carpet extraction, and carpet encapsulation.
  
• When stripping remove all old wax from tile; no old wax should be left on the surfaces or corners and along baseboards.
• Corners and baseboards should be as clean as middle of floor. 
• After old wax is removed, rinse floors to remove excess stripper. (No hair, lint, or any debris)
• Lay new wax with no streaks, sticking or particles in the wax.
• Lay wax evenly.
• Buffing, all items that can be moved must be moved and placed back in the correct  place.  Barnishing the floor is a process that is not to be rushed, this is the time that the floors are properly swept, mopped, dust mopped, and mopped with one step and then barnished.  Also, areas that cannot be buffed must be mopped with PH7.  Do not mop an area with one step that is not buffed.  
• Perform all 7-floor procedures at any facility on any type of flooring including wood surfaces, marble, granite, ceramic tile, and cement.
• Responsible for the up keep and maintenance of all floor equipment and submitting supply requisitions on each Monday for chemicals and supplies.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Good Communication skills.
• Ability to work the facility buffing schedule.
• Complete knowledge of Floor keeping protocols.
• Complete knowledge of buffing/carpet techniques, products, and principles.

Travel Requirements: 

• Must have reliable transportation .
• Must be willing to travel. 
• Anticipate traveling to various destinations, potentially spanning from Gonzales to Baton Rouge, including areas like O'neal, Burbank, and One Calais Ave.
