Come join our team at Professional Services Group & Community Impact Programs PSG/CIP is a community-based social services organization looking for talented professionals like you to join our In-Home Safety Services (IHSS) Program team.
The IHSS program works with families referred from the Winnebago County Human Services Department to maintain safety in homes where children are at-risk for removal or are in the process of reunification. As the Family Services Worker, you will support families by addressing a wide range of concerns, including: safety, enhancing the parent-child relationship, parenting skills and education, household management, nutrition, safe and stable housing, service acquisition, education, employment, medical, mental health, and substance abuse issues. IHSS programming emphasizes helping families develop formal and informal systems of support and resources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FAMILY SERVICES WORKER:
- Interview and evaluate clients to complete intake process.
- Evaluate youth and families for treatment needs and refer to appropriate resources.
- Analyze client situations and capabilities to determine services required to control safety threats.
- Conduct face-to-face contact with families to ensure safety and cooperation with safety plan.
- Serve as part of the Safety Team.
- Safely transport clients as needed.
- Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
- Act as a resource to evaluate and determine necessary responses in de-escalating crisis situations with youth and families.
LOCATION: Office is located in Oshkosh, WI. Local travel is required to complete client visits within the home, with mileage reimbursement. Flexibility to work hybrid/remote 2 days per week after training is complete. Must be able to meet in-person with clients in Winnebago County, WI.
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday with one evening shift per week and one weekend per month.

SALARY: $20.00 per hour
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related.
- One year of experience working with at-risk youth and families is preferred.
