Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe seek mechanically inclined candidates interested in the opportunity to grow and develop as machine builders. The craftsman will work from drawings and written communication to layout, assemble, route piping/tubing, and test tight tolerance parts and equipment. Work in a clean, modern, air-conditioned shop with new equipment & machinery.
Machine Builder Responsibilities:· Analyzes assembly drawings and specifications. Plans assembly or building operations.· Fastens components or parts together, using hand tools.· Positions and aligns components for assembly, manually or with hoist.· Reworks, repairs, and replaces damaged parts or assemblies.· Lays out, drills, reams, taps, and cuts parts for assembly.· Fastens and installs piping, fixtures, wiring, and electrical components to specifications.· Inspects and tests parts and accessories for leakage, defect, or functionality, using test equipment.· Sets and verifies clearance of parts.· Operates machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer's specifications.· Maintains and lubricates parts and components.· Troubleshoot issues and work with the appropriate resource(s) (i.e. Supervisor, Engineering, Machining, etc.) to resolve· Effectively manage work time and be self-directed in order to meet production needs/schedules
Requirements:· 2 - 5 years of experience· Read and interpret engineering drawings.· Flexible and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Possess interpersonal skills and the ability to work multiple tasks simultaneously· Calibrate and utilize torque wrench to specifications· Prefer tool room background· HS diploma or equivalent. Post-high school education/training preferred.· Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
