Job DescriptionJob Description

The Facilities Processor position is an on-site position at the organization's Headquarters. The position oversees the administrative and scheduling functions of the Facilities and Maintenance Department, including coordination of the daily maintenance schedule, preservation, and upkeep of all EDEN's and agency managed properties. This position provides coordination and scheduling assistance between EDEN staff, residents, and EDEN's partner agencies for inspection, contract work, and essential services. The Processor is responsible for routing work orders to the appropriate manager or purchasing agent. This position must be committed to the goal of helping EDEN residents live in and maintain decent, safe, sanitary housing.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years experience in an administrative role with experience in facilities and maintenance and/or property management preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  1. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, confidentiality, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  1. Knowledge of basic use of office equipment including computers, fax, copier/printer, and telephone as well as computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Word, and Outlook). YARDI real estate software experience preferred.
  1. Knowledge of Ohio Tenant-Landlord Law and Fair Housing Guidelines
  1. Skills in organizing especially with regards to documents and data.
  1. Managing one's own time and being cognizant of the time of others.
  1. Speaking and writing skills to convey information effectively and understanding of written documents including reports and business correspondence.
  1. Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  1. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  2. The ability to work well with diverse personalities and those with diverse backgrounds.
  3. The ability to remain positive and patient even in tense situations.
  4. The ability to clearly express and comprehend information and ideas both orally and in writing.
