JOB SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production floor to ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role includes managing a team of production workers, coordinating production schedules, monitoring workflow, and ensuring quality standards are met. The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining productivity, meeting deadlines, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Optimizing operations through leading, motivating, and supporting associates within the assigned shift.
- Observing and monitoring the optimal deployment of labor, material and time to meet production schedules.
- Evaluates employees through performance reviews, ongoing coaching and feedback methods.
- Monitor production related metrics to ensure optimum performance from all associates.
- Planning and coordinating repairs should malfunctions occur.
- Troubleshoot to determine corrective actions for nonconformances to product / equipment.
- Motivate associates to exhibit good housekeeping.
- Maintain associates time / schedule within payroll system.
- Lead / participate in safety related activities including accident investigations on assigned shift.
- Assist in operator training.
- Maintain safe work practices at all times.
- Enter / verify production data in ERP system.
- Participate / lead in continuous improvement activities associated with assigned shift.
- Assists in monthly physical inventory as required.
- Complies with company, quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to five years related experience and/or training.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
