MAJOR FUNCTION:

To maintain inventory integrity through constant evaluation and analysis of inventory levels. The inventory analyst acts as the main proponent of warehouse inventory accuracy. By using current cycle counting methods in conjunction with proper receiving practices, the inventory analyst maintains the integrity of all inventories within the facility. The inventory analyst also utilizes work orders, and confirms RGA’s that come into the facility for inventory accuracy. The inventory analyst acts as a communication link between the warehouse department, customer services department, purchasing department, and all other TOTO USA departments which need collaboration to maintain inventory accuracy.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:

May include, but not limited to: PIT (gas or electric), banding tools, pallet jacks, both hand held and lift mounted scanners,, hammers, crowbars, bolt cutters, shrink wrapping equipment, measuring devices, precision measuring devices, calibrated inspection jigs, basic hand tools such as: ratchets/sockets, torque wrench, adjustable wrench, box cutters, cardboard tape guns, latex and/or cotton knit gloves, calculators, hand held radios, computers, and printers.

PIT may be Sit down, Reach, order picker, sweeper, walk behind, platform, stock chaser, and/or other PIT as assigned.

MATERIALS:

May include, but not limited to: Contact with: ABS plastic parts, silicone rubber parts, brass and stainless steel parts, cardboard boxes, wooden pallets, adhesive labels, vitreous china products. Contact with oil lubricant/preservative as well as powder mold release/preservative on vendor parts. Utilizes Windex, alcohol, acetone, Loctite, silicone oil, silicone grease and adhesive remover such as Goof Off.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains inventory accuracy and integrity at all times.
  • Follows all facility policies and procedures, including, but not limited to the employee handbook.
  • Review Receiving of inventory system transactions, and submission of receiving documents to accounting.
  • Directs scanning of all receiving documents.
  • Perform Resolution of receiving issues.
  • Reviews Work Orders and schedules picking dates
  • Orders raw materials/ components to replenish satellite locations.
  • Maintains inventory accuracy as appropriate in process.
  • Monitor material variances and oversee material resolutions.
  • Initiates cycle counts and physical inventory and reports results as required.
  • Maintains records as required by supervisor.
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices (safe, neat, and orderly work area per 5S program), follows all safety rules and abides by all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations. Follows and supports ISO related activities, and encourages other associates to follow ISO recommendations.
  • Actively contributes to continuous improvement and cost reduction initiative program projects for assigned area as well as plant wide.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS:

Daily contact with production and warehouse personnel and with various departments of the company communicating required information.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalency and working knowledge of PC-based system utilizing Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint Access). Six (6) months of applicable general clerical with experience with basic math skills (accuracy is a must) is needed. Good oral and written communication skills and ability to work without close supervision.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Spend time on manufacturing floor with moderate noise levels and where appropriate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, hearing protection and safety shoes.
  • Repetitive bending/pulling.
  • Repetitive movements of fingers, hands, wrists and arms.
  • Ability to lift fifty pounds repeatedly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment consists of an indoor manufacturing facility with limited heat in winter, not air conditioned in summer. Summer heat is moderate. Minor exposure to odors from lubricants/preservatives as well as fumes from gas operated lift trucks. Moderate noise levels are present. Job requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) that may include, but not limited to; protective gloves, ear plugs, safety glasses, protective sleeves, and safety shoes. Minimal possibility of accidents of a minor nature requiring first aid.
