We are on the lookout for a talented Designer with a specialization in multi-family truss design, proficient in MiTek software.

Position: Designer

Location: Remote

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Design floor and roof trusses for single-family, multi-family, and light commercial projects.
  • Utilize software for 3D visualization of plans/buildings.
  • Navigate windows explorer with server/folder knowledge.
  • Size and specify EWP for load analysis.
  • Specify hangers for truss to truss and truss to beam connections.
  • Collaborate with sales and production teams, addressing queries and concerns.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of designs with support from a Design Administrator and Design Analyst.
  • Coordinate with fellow designers to optimize material usage.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, clients, and team members.
  • Assist with technical inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in truss design.
  • Proficiency in MiTek software is a must.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite.
  • High school diploma or GED required; degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Experience with CAD or architectural design is beneficial.
  • Ability to interpret construction documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and teamwork abilities.
