Located in Salt Lake City, UT, the company is staffed by highly trained and qualified technicians capable of repairing and maintaining a wide array of turbine-powered fixed-wing aircraft and is available to support the needs of each client 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
Summary of position-
The AOG Maintenance Technician Lead holds a crucial role in establishing permanent mobile maintenance operations in Intermountain West (primarily Colorado and Utah) with an emphasis on supporting aircraft in remote airport locations. The Lead manages and performs mobile aircraft maintenance inspections, servicing, and repair of customer aircraft and articles in compliance with manufacturer's maintenance instructions and/or other approved data, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (Parts 43, 65, 145, etc.), company policies and procedures, and customer requirements. This customer-facing role includes directly interfacing with Elevate MRO clients, often in stressful circumstances, requiring savage customer service. arriving quickly, troubleshooting and fault isolation, and subsequent repairs to quickly return the aircraft to service. Continuous customer communication and rapid response is the key to success in this role.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities-
- Coordinates and executes on rapid mobile AOG response to return clients aircraft to service.
- Provide continuous customer communication to ensure clients are updated throughout all phases of the AOG response.
- Preform mobile aircraft maintenance inspections, servicing, and repair of customer aircraft and articles in an airworthy manner and in compliance with manufactures maintenance instruction and/or other approved data, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (Part 43, 65, 145, etc.) customer requirements, and company policies and procedures.
- Provides regular status reports to management and ensures the completion of documentation of all worked preformed.
- Maintaining ‘Go Status’ ready for all equipment needed including company vehicle, tooling and parts in preparation for AOG call. This includes accounting for all tools and equipment daily and prior to release of any aircraft or article.
- Ensuring only approved parts, materials, and tools or equipment are used in the performance of duties and fully documenting the use of all spare parts and materials utilized on assigned aircraft or articles.
- Ensuring all labor and materials are properly accounted for and are allocated to the job in an economical manner.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment and controlling foreign object debris (FOD) potential.
- Maintaining job proficiency by fully participating in the company training and continuous improvement programs.
- Confidentiality of company business, projects, and plans is required and discussion with third party personnel or organizations is prohibited. Position requires compliance with a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement.
- Performance of other duties as assigned and/or outlined by management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities-
- Customer Service: Manages difficult or emotional customer situations, responds promptly to customer needs, solicits customer feedback to improve service, responds to requests for service and assistance, and meets commitments.
- Interpersonal Skills: Focuses on solving conflict through positive collaboration, maintains confidentiality, keeps emotions under control, remains open to others’ ideas and tries new things.
- Must be computer literate and knowledgeable of the MS Office suite of applications as well as Corridor maintenance software. Familiarity with CAMP and FlightDocs helpful but not required to start.
- Must be able to work independently of direct supervision and make decisions compliant with aviation safety and FAA regulations.
Education & Experience-
- Must have a valid and current FAA Airframe & Powerplant license; FAA Inspection Authorization preferred but not required.
- Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in aircraft maintenance operations with FAA Part 145 operations preferred.
- High School diploma required. Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English.
Schedule & Travel-
- The work schedule is driven by customer requirements and schedules. After-hours and weekend requirements inherent to the aviation industry.
- Overtime, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays may be required to support customer delivery schedules and AOG support.
- Multi-day domestic and international on-site customer support trips required.
Miscellaneous-
- FLSA Status- Full time nonexempt
- Lifting requirements- Up to 50lbs
- Valid U.S. state-issued driver’s license is required.
- Position requires FAA-mandated drug employment screening.
