Responsibilities

  • Assisting with Installations:Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems such as water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures under the guidance of a journeyman plumber.
  • Learning Plumbing Codes:Familiarize yourself with local and national plumbing codes and regulations to ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during installations and repairs.
  • Reading Blueprints:Develop skills in reading and interpreting plumbing blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to understand the layout of plumbing systems and assist in planning installations and repairs accordingly.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs:Learn to identify plumbing issues, diagnose problems, and assist in troubleshooting leaks, clogs, and malfunctions in plumbing systems to implement appropriate repairs and solutions.
  • Safety and Compliance:Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safety regulations while working with plumbing systems and equipment.
  • Professional Development:Take part in ongoing training, workshops, and educational programs to enhance plumbing skills, stay updated with industry trends, and work towards achieving journeyman plumber licensure or certification.

Job requirements

  • Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Ability to communicate effectively to clients about issues and provide accurate solutions
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • Customer service skills
  • Must be technologically sound
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
