St. Peter's Catholic School in Olney Maryland is hiring a Spanish Teacher for the 2024-25 school year

General Summary:

Our school is seeking a Spanish Teacher for the 2024-25 school year. The teacher should be able to provide an interactive environment in which the students can learn. The teacher should be able to work with students in Grades K-8.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Recognizes and supports the unique Catholic Mission of the school by speaking, acting, and instructing consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church
• Plan, prepare, deliver, and evaluate instruction to students with diverse learning styles and needs, using a variety of innovative instructional methods
• Promote student acquisition of skills and content knowledge
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Plan, assign, and evaluate student work
• Analyze student progress and performance to identify learning needs
• Provide oral and written feedback to students and coworkers

Basic Qualifications:

• A working knowledge of and a strong commitment to the Catholic
• Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, public speaking, and presentation skills
• Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills; must be a self-starter and be well-organized; must be a team player
• Proficient in the use of computer technology including Google Classroom
• The ability to successfully complete a criminal history and background check

Education and Experience:

• A Bachelor's Degree in education from an accredited university
• The ideal candidate should have a strong Spanish language background
