Our sites are located within the Adelanto School District. Program Leaders may work at any AYA program sites and receive their assignments based on their availability and AYA program needs.
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Drumline Instructor to join our after-school program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for percussion and experience in teaching drumline techniques to young children. This position involves planning and leading drumline practices, teaching fundamental drumming skills, and organizing performances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging drumline lessons tailored to the interests and abilities of elementary students.
- Teach fundamental drumming skills including rhythm, stick control, and coordination.
- Plan and conduct group rehearsals, ensuring students learn and perform drumline routines..
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students and program staff.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Hours and Scheduling: Monday to Friday from 1:00 pm-6:00 pm (Starting time may vary)
Job Qualifications
- Minimum six months Child Care experience
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Commit to a full school year.
- Must successfully pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting).
- Must pass TB test
- Must have reliable transportation
