Job Description:

Oversee the estimating process for the reconstruction of damaged homes and buildings from beginning to end, by meeting with our mitigation team, homeowners, adjusters, and subcontractors while writing industry-standard and profitable estimates, to help put the project back to pre-loss conditions.

Responsibilities:

- Meet with the mitigation team to assess the scope of work as soon as the demo is done
- Build a relationship with the homeowner by walking them through the process and setting expectations for the project
- Prepare the job file with notes and photos
- Write industry standard and profitable estimates with state-of-the-art technology such as
- Docusketch and Xactimate
- Communicate with homeowners throughout the approval process regularly to keep their minds at ease through this difficult process
- Work alongside insurance adjusters to establish an approved scope of work and build working relationships with them to obtain more work in future opportunities
- After approval of the estimate, the superintendent meets with the homeowner to review the estimate, sign the contract, collect deductibles, and initial payments, and make material selections based on approved budgets
- Assist in ordering cabinets, flooring, and other necessary materials
- Work with the homeowner and superintendent on any change order or supplement

Qualifications:

- Abundant knowledge of reconstruction; ie drywall, insulation, paint, trim, flooring,
framing, cabinetry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Experience with Xactimate is preferred
- Estimating for trades whether it be T&M or takeoffs
- Excellent customer service
- Flawless communication skills, both verbal and written
