Job DescriptionJob DescriptionA.R. Mazzotta, a local staffing firm dedicated to connecting skilled professionals with top-tier companies, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented part-time Legal Secretary. This is an opportunity to work for a reputable legal office in the Hartford area.
We are looking for a part-time Legal Secretary to assist in a busy legal office. The successful candidate will be responsible for transcription and general administrative tasks associated with legal files.
The Legal Secretary will be required to work on Wednesdays and Fridays. $20 - $25 per hour depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Transcribe legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  • Manage and organize files, documents, and records.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars.
  • Assist with the preparation of legal documents and correspondence.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Provide support to attorneys and other legal staff as needed.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience and/or degree in the legal profession.
  • Experience working in a professional office environment in an administrative role or similar. Legal office preferred.
  • Proficient in transcription and typing with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
