Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified ESOL Teacher to join our educational team. As an ESOL Teacher, you will be responsible for providing English language instruction to students whose native language is not English. Your role will involve creating engaging lesson plans, assessing students' language skills, and fostering a supportive learning environment to help students achieve proficiency in English.

What You Bring -- Competencies:


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or higher and FL teaching certification
  • Previous experience teaching at the k-12 level is preferred
  • Previous experience teaching ESOL/ESL (English as a Second Language) preferred.
  • Knowledge of language acquisition theories, teaching methodologies, and curriculum development for ESOL learners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with culturally diverse students and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute engaging lesson plans tailored to ESOL students' needs.
  • Teach English language skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing) effectively.
  • Assess students' language proficiency and track progress regularly.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and levels.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and communicate with parents/guardians.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with administrative requirements.
  • Pursue professional development and stay updated on language teaching best practices.
