Responsibilities

The Caylor-Nickel Foundation Family YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic and attentive part-time Homeschool PE Instructor to join our team who will be responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of all physical education activities associated with the Homeschool Program.

  • Connect: Promote diversity by including all students and emphasize focus on each person’s unique capabilities.
  • Serve: Assist in maintaining the quality of supplies, equipment, and materials.
  • Lead: Responsible for monitoring and keeping track of program participants and enforcing all program rules and policies.

Requirements

Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne, as well as

  • At least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must possess strong human relations skills and ability to communicate with participants and staff.
  • Ability to lead a group while maintaining structure and control.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community both individually and in a group setting.

Salary: Part-time $11.75-$12.25 hourly

Hours Available: Tuesdays 10:00 am-12:30 pm and Wednesdays 1:00 pm-2:30 pm for the 2024-2025 school year
