Window & Doors Installation Technician - AWS

What Does a Window & Doors Installer Do?

• Accurately measure and assess window spaces, remove old windows, and install new ones to ensure proper fit and functionality.
• Prepare window openings, frames, and surfaces for installation by cleaning, leveling, and ensuring structural integrity.
• Apply caulking, weather stripping, and insulation to windows to enhance energy efficiency and weatherproofing.
• Perform finishing touches such as trimming, framing, and final adjustments for a polished appearance.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure installed windows meet quality standards and safety regulations.
• Communicate with clients regarding installation procedures, address concerns, and provide guidance on window operation and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, materials used, and any issues encountered during the installation process.
• Other duties as assigned

What Does It Take to be Successful as an Installer?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience installing or repairing windows required
• Competent with basic tools, window installation experience, and attention to detail
• Self-starter, proactive, organized, and detail-oriented
• Bilingual in Spanish/English highly desired
• Ability to use technology to communicate with AWS and others regarding work order assignments, job progress updates, weather route updates, etc.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional weekends and overtime
• Ability to climb up and down ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel, and occasionally lift 75-100 lbs. with assistance
• Requires frequent standing and walking
• Ability to work outside in varying temperatures and weather
• Results-oriented with the ability to serve stores with humility and be a steward of Nation’s Best values
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable and flexible
• Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to consistently provide superior customer service skills
