Key Responsibilities
- Repair padmount transformers and support for all other equipment repairs.
- Use basic math skills to calculate amps and ratios of transformers.
- Repair single and three phase padmount transformers as assigned.
- Perform quality check on repaired unit before it leaves workstation.
- Estimate repair costs of single-phase padmount transformers.
- Operate forklift, overhead crane and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Responsible for all shop equipment and tools in his/her workstation.
Skills Knowledge and ExpertiseThe ideal candidate will embody the following characteristics and possess the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below:
- Honest, trustworthy and reliable.
- Hardworking.
- Physical ability to perform medium work, exerting up to 50lbs of force occasionally and/or in excess of 20lbs force frequently.
- Comfortable working in extreme heat and cold.
- Experience in padmount transformer repair required.
