Supply Management Specialist II

Dubuque, Iowa - Full Time

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at John Deere's facility in Dubuque, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will support and may lead a commodity Strategic Sourcing team with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies for enterprise/region/division/unit. Build and develop a supply base for procuring less complex and strategic materials, products, supplies, and services. Responsible for quality, delivery, supplier performance and establishing appropriate material replenishment process. Coordinate and lead efforts to address chronic supplier performance issues and/or validation of suppliers during the early supplier selection process as part of Enterprise Product Delivery Process (PDP). Facilitate the quality planning activities with suppliers.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties:

  • Perform quotes.
  • Perform analysis on quotes and provide information to various product lines.
  • This position is a buyer role.
  • Maintain an ongoing relationship with assigned suppliers to monitor and improve supplier performance.
  • Develop and execute inventory plans to achieve inventory/asset management and material flow goals.
  • Support negotiation of supply agreements with specific suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of supply management and/or Manufacturing experience or purchasing experience.
  • SAP experience and a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
