What we're looking for: Supervising Dentist at our Sacramento Campus.

Summary: Dentists provide clinical supervision for patient care at Carrington College Dental Hygiene Clinic when treatment is being provided by students.

What We Offer: The targeted starting pay range for this position is between $50.00 per hour. Our benefit program for part-time colleagues (working at least 20 hours per week) includes paid vacation and state-compliant sick leave. We offer a 401k profit sharing plan with a discretionary match and tuition assistance to employees and their family members beginning your first day of employment.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD)
  • State Dentist license
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers, (AHA or ARC), Infection Control certification (8 hours) and CA Dental Practice Act certification (2 units)
  • 2 years of clinical practice experiance
  • Teaching experiance preferred

CODA:
All dental hygiene program faciulty members must have:
(1) Current knowledge of the specfic subjects they are teaching.

(2) Documented background in current educational methodology concepts consistent with teaching assignments.

(3) Faculty who are dental hygienists or dentists must be graduates of programs accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. A dentist who was appointed as faculty prior to July 1, 2022 is exempt from the graduation requirement.

(4) Evidence of faculty calibration for clinical evaluation.
