Position Purpose:

The Field Intelligence Analyst (FIA) is responsible for conducting analysis of multiple datasets and effectively organizing, communicating, and producing intelligence reports and outlining results to the Supervisory Field Intelligence Analyst and other consumers. FIAs generate and analyze meaningful intelligence from a variety of sources which allow NICB staff, law enforcement agencies, and member companies to make better business decisions. Additionally, the FIA will serve as a subject matter expert who is routinely called upon to provide training to member companies, law enforcement, strategic partners, and other NICB employees.

Work Arrangement and Description:

This is a field position which means that the individual is assigned to an Area of Responsibility (AOR) and must travel within that AOR in order to fulfill their job responsibilities.

Competencies/Duties:

  • Organize and analyze data that results in the production of actionable intelligence products in support of NICB’s mission and fosters data driven investigations.
  • Cultivate and maintain collaborative partnerships with member companies, law enforcement and strategic partners.
  • Facilitate information exchange, market intelligence products and provide analytics training when necessary.
  • Provide analytical and investigative support for NICB regional personnel and serve as the subject matter expert for all Operations, Intelligence, and Analytics (OIA) products and services.
  • Comprehend and effectively utilize analytical software in support of the production of intelligence products and visuals.
  • Evaluate information from open-source intelligence in support of investigations.
  • Proactively identify fraud and vehicle theft trends throughout assigned region and effectively communicates actionable intelligence.
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to research and analyze information at an advanced level with a high degree of organization and ability to multi-task

Education, Work Experience, Licensure:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of related work experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Criminology, or similar preferred
  • 3 or more years of experience conducting independent, complex research and analysis required
  • Experience with insurance claim, analysis, or law enforcement investigations preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) required
  • Prior experience working with large amounts of data required
  • Experience with SQL/PostgreSQL and cloud database (AWS or Redshift) preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no direct reports.

Salary Range and Statement:

The salary range for this position is $64,500 to $72,000. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors including the specific requirements for this position, the candidate's geographic location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
