Merchandiser Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Merchandiser Specialist for Convenience Stores. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products are effectively displayed and merchandised in convenience stores to drive sales and enhance brand visibility. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for visual presentation, strong organizational skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with store personnel.

This position will support stores located in Southeast MI

Responsibilities:

1. Merchandising Strategy: Develop and execute merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and drive sales in convenience stores.
2. Planogram Implementation: Implement planograms and ensure that products are displayed according to company guidelines to optimize shelf space and improve overall aesthetics.
3. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with store managers to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained. Conduct regular inventory audits to identify any discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
4. Product Placement: Strategically place products in high-traffic areas within convenience stores to increase visibility and drive impulse purchases.
5. Promotional Activities: Coordinate promotional activities and product launches within convenience stores. Set up displays, signage, and promotional materials to effectively communicate marketing messages and drive sales.
6. Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with store managers and staff to ensure compliance with merchandising standards and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
7. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for product placement and promotion within convenience stores. Provide recommendations for product assortment and pricing adjustments based on market insights.
8. Drive: Should be able to drive and service all the stores that are assigned which will be from Southeast MI to possibly Southwest MI.
9. Training and Support: Provide training and support to store personnel on merchandising best practices and product knowledge to enhance their ability to sell our products effectively.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in merchandising, preferably in the convenience store industry.
• Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Flexibility to travel to multiple convenience store locations as needed.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with consumer behavior and market research methodologies.
