We are seeking a well qualified Real Estate & Probate Paralegal to join our firm at our Naperville, IL office.
Responsibilities:
- Opening and closing files
- Document preparation (with nominal oversight, as appropriate for a paralegal). Documents may include estate planning and probate documents, pleadings, motions, other court documents, and real estate transaction documents.
- Tracking dates, deadlines and requirements, as well as billing assistance (including generating invoices and sending payment requests).
- Communicating with clients and third parties as required and in a professional manner.
- Scheduling meetings, conference calls, closings and court.
- Coordinating the execution of estate planning documents.
- Proficiency with Smokeball, Odyssey (for efiling), Lawpay and Microsoft Outlook preferred.
- High attention to detail, professional and friendly demeanor, and prompt performance of tasks. Must be able to prioritize tasks, be sensitive to time deadlines and be able to recalibrate to handle matters as needed.
- Assist on professional development/marking matters (scheduling, powerpoint, preparation).
- This is not an immediate remote working position.
Qualifications:
- Excellent data entry skills
- Previous experience is helpful but not required
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written, verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
